Cargo net

The 2016 Ss I have doesn't come with a cargo net like my 5th gen does in the trunk why is that? I have some caNs back there flying around ... Is it only me or does all the 6th gen have none? And I have splash guards in the trunk do I have to put those on it says for performance track use so only use if on track?

It's an option when u order the car. Mine came with one. It's installed by the dealer when the car arrives or they can leave it in the box for you to install at a later time. I just installed mine today. It's quite small

Yes,
You only put those on when running it on a track. It will increase air flow over the brakes. They aren't splash guards though.

Cargo net still is useful but not 50 bucks useful. If I had known, I wouldn't have bought it. At least not for 50. But for 20.

The cargo net is $60.00, not $50.00.

I ordered both the cargo net and the rubber trunk mat with my 5th gen, and thought they were both worth having. They keep things from sliding around in the trunk, especially groceries and smaller items.

Somebody on the forums stated that to use the cargo net, you need to replace a couple hand-turn fasteners on the rear plastic liner of the trunk with some fasteners that come with T-shaped hooks. This gives you your anchor point for the cargo net. See the thread linked in the 2nd post for pictures.

Are they GM part numbers 22802366 & 22802367? I had them in the trunk as well and the salesman had no idea what they were. I assumed they were dust shields or something brake related. I don't see anything on them about performance only. Just a sticker with my VIN, a date and a couple of other numbers.

I also have to other plastic parts with no indication as to what they are. Their part numbers are 23383583 & 23383584. I Googled all of them and they show a GM part, but no description was available.

Thanks,

Howard
