How's the sound level on the SW retro system? I've got SW long tubes with hi flow cats and a flowmaster tru x pipe and it's a little too quiet for me and I'm wondering if I should get the system or just take off the x pipe

It's a loud system I think they call it an 8 on a scale of 10. I can tell you if you have a high lift cam it's very loud. I like it a lot!

Here's mine, I haven't been busted yet but it's pretty loud. Check my signature for detail, best heard with headphones:

I swear my exhaust was louder when I had 2.5 to 3in adapters going into 3n pipes back. I recently went with the factory connects and it seems I lost volume.

WHAT?

To answer your question they make a 2.5 inch connection that will hook up to your factory manifold. I myself have the stainless Works inch and 7 eighths headers going into x pipe off road connect 3 inch stainless Works retro chambered catback. Cat delete . Homeless man is right it is a night and day difference I don't know what you're listening to but I've heard a muffler delete and I hear mine it is different at wide open throttle and it is different idling . $1,000 is way justifiable . This system is deep and throaty and there is no better system for this car

Homelessman and someone else both agreed that sw retro chambered catback sounds similar to muffler delete.

There's someone else who agrees with you on it, but in my opinion after hearing that dude at the gym every other day, his sw retro chambered catback sounds very similar to my muffler delete.

So similar to the point that if I had a choice in another exhaust, I'd get corsa extreme or something

Hope this helps a bit, LTs w/hi flow cats and Stainless Works 3" retro chamber exhaust.

Solid roller cam, video 5th gear, ~2500 to 6800rpms, idle ~950rpm.

I'm not even sure what you're talking about anymore you're going in circles.

I said you think $1,000 is worth this exhaust, I said a few people agreed with me on this exhaust sounding too much like a muffler delete.

So in other words, you think it's worth the money and I don't.

Opinions are opinions, I stand behind mine. I've heard both in person.
