Cargo net installation in a 2016 Camaro

I'm the proud owner of a Hyper Blue 2016 1LT RS. I was leasing a Black 2013 2LS and my lease was set to expire next summer. I happened to be passing by the dealer where I got my 2013 Camaro and they had the 2016 sitting on the lot. I pulled in to check it out, ended up taking it for a test drive, and within a couple hours I was driving it home.

Anyways, my 2013 had a cargo net which I used quite a bit. My new one doesn't have a cargo net. I found one online and was about to purchase it. I don't see anything in the trunk that looks like it would hook up to, so I'm guessing I'll have to get the hardware as well. To those who have a 2016 with a cargo net does it look like it would be an easy installation?

No clips in the trunk?

I'm glad you posted this because I was curious as well. It's a $60 option and I use my current one enough to where it would be worth checking the box for me if I could see some photos of what it looks like.

Pretty sure that if Chevrolet was selling a cargo net as an option there would be some place in the truck to attach it.

The clips come with the net, you have to unscrew four existing ones and replace with the ones that come with the net. But it looks more like a $10.00 net.

Here's the one I was going to order. I assume that it's what Chevy installs into the Camaro. I haven't seen any pics of one installed, but there are no hooks in my trunk to attach one.

Didn't see this post when I posted that link. Thanks.

I just checked and my cargo net came with some plastic t-shaped bolt ends that you swap for the ones on the car and that's what the net attaches to.

Thanks. I see now. I was thinking it would be like my BMW which attached along the trunk floor at all 4 corners and you can but items under it to be held in place. More like a flexible Cargo net. I like that better than this design. I'll have to think about going for that one. Do you ever use it?

Oh wow, interesting. Very tightly fitting back there. So I guess it's only for small stuff?
