New ZL1 in Central Fl

Hi Camaro5 folks, Dave from Melbourne, FL here and I finally did it. I just ordered my first Camaro, a 2015 ZL1 (sorry, but it's not black, haha). Dealer says 6-8 weeks before I get it, which is going to kill me to wait that long.

I'm not sure how long until I get my VIN, but they're supposed to get that to me once issued.

In the meantime, I'm looking at anything and everything I can so I have a game plan of what, and when, to do once I get it. I see there's a 1500 mi break-in period, which I'm sort of used to on my motorcycles (they're usually about 600 mi) but I've had to do this many times before.

I'll probably ask for your help on here with mods (who doesn't do mods, right) and also a good shop in the Melbourne, FL area too. I only know of one good speed shop here and he's a Ford guy, but he has a good rep and might be able to help with some bolt-ons that I'm not comfortable with.

Anyway, look forward to getting my new ride and discussing how to make a bad ass car even better.

Nice and welcome aboard, check out our local Brevard County Car Club, Space Coast Camaro's. We're on Facebook and on the web under space coast Camaro's we have two monthly meet and greets and members who are knowledgeable about our Camaro's. We also try to attend as many Car events in Central Florida as possible.

Dave, CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

FYI they are having a Fast and Furious 7 Premiere All Makes Car Show at Cinema World on 192 in Melbourne from 6 to 9 tomorrow night, Friday.
