Shift for Camaro comes in at about 110mph.. A little before the finish line. Will be interesting to see more aggressive gearing.

OH and Motor Trend uploaded their H2H video for the month and it's the BMW X6 M vs AMG GLE63 S
Yeah, this H2H didn't tell us anything new. No hot laps is lame.

thanks for sharing this

the only surprise to me was "Camaro was rougher going down highway, higher wind and road noise"

with the new platform, body and countless hours of wind tunnel didn't really expect that. Altho road noise could be a result of the Run Flats.

Probably also due to less sound insulation as compared to the ATS for sure I would guess.

Interesting quotes in light of all the talk lately about gearing in the Mustang and the LS feeling sluggish compared to the Coyote.

"your shifting a lot, too, just cresting into third as you enter the corner before shifting back down to second. We like to row our own gears as much as the next guy or gal, but rushing through the gears in the Ford is frustrating"

"that Coyote motor sounds great as you rev it out. The closer gear ratio give the impression of speed...makes it feel faster---even though it's not"

It's like that in my Focus ST. Shifting so often that when you hit 60-65 you're looking for a 7th gear that isn't there. I'm in 3rd gear in that car before I hit the 1/8 mile mark.

We can only assume that this comparison is still coming. Maybe they won't do it, but come on....they SHOULD do it. If they thought testing a 2015 1LE versus a GTPP was a good enough H2H, then why in the world they wouldn't do the same for these two cars....who knows.

Hopefully other mags will do it.

How much less does the 1SS weigh than 2SS again?

Hard to point out, but I'd say about 50 pounds from base 1SS to base 2SS.

thats what i felt in the C7 manual coming from a 5.0 GT. The chevy engine felt very strong and agil up to about 5000rpm but than i better get in next gear for my taste.

Damn. The thing is almost as fast as my ZL1. So glad I sold it and moving forward with the new platform.
