4 cyl. sounds better than our v6?
IMO the 4 cyl. evos and imprezas actually sound better than most of our V6's exhausts. Even only with bolt-ons they sound less "ricey" than our 6's which have been said to sound like fart cans I know evos are turboed but is that all that makes the difference??
EDIT: Neither one of these cars is mine!! Last edited by SnoopyAce7; 09-30-2011 at 08:28 PM. |

I guess it depends on who's car you're listening to. I've got a coworker with a highly modified WRX STi Impreza and it sounds mean, but there's nothing better to me than the sound of American muscle!

My friend has a v6 camaro with headers and mufflers. I think that car sounds so bad a$$ i want it on my camaro.
P.S i wanted an evo but untill i saw the price it was way out of my budget and i could not set it up the way i wanted. The auto evo looks lame compared to the stick. And i did not want a stick so i was like NOPE NOT FOR ME

The Subarus do sound particularly good. It's gotta be down to the flat four configuration. Sadly it must be noted that both the Evo, and Scoob, would wipe the floor with a camaro on our roads. However their road presence is nowhere near as imposing as the Camaro.

I couldn't even hear my V8 Camaro start up/idle when it was stock. Now that was horrible. But just like a new Harley, the exhaust is the first thing to go.

MBRP exhaust on that camaro? probably the worst sounding aftermarket i've heard. and the greddy is probably one of the best available for the import scene.

yes hands down the v8 sounds the best of the 3, but thats out of the question. My cherry bomb exhaust rarely got compliments from people (mainly ricers ), but when i went open headers guys with v8s said it sounded good
the camaro has MBRP and the Evo has GReddy |

The v6 sounds alot worse then an Evo and STI also alot slower lol
The Evo sounds good And to disagree the EVO and STI will only beat a V6 not a SS I have beaten alot of STI's and evos, and rally R's |

So since you have beaten these vehicles. This stands as all SS's Drivers can also beat said cars.

The Evo sounds like trash. I can make you a better sound after a cheap meal at Taco Bell.
