Becky,

How are you handling the sale of Camaros with the key fob recall? How would a person be able to take delivery of a car before the 7/7 deadline?

Thanks!

Anyone on the fence should get this done, with haste.

Take the 0% any chance you can get even if you have the cash to pay cash for the car. Never pay cash for a car if there is 0%.... you can invest your money and earn interest on it instead of having it invested in a car that is depreciating.

I don't have steady monthly income
I'd prefer to just purchase up front but maybe I'll try doing partial.

I was given 0% financing for both my 2013 Camaros 3 weeks apart. My credit score sucks, so does my wife's. Probably 580-610 for both of us. Mine was financed through GM Financing, my wife's through Ally Financing (GM subsidiary?) at the dealerships. We were both shocked, but extremely happy to get it!

What I'm saying is, it doesn't hurt to try... if you're really looking to get one and need to finance it, 0% is the way to get it... FREE loaned money which also keeps the payments lower!

If you do some simple math, you would realize that this incentive is not as valuable as some of the previous cash deals. Especially when you consider that anyone eligible for this would already qualify for the lowest rates possible.

Here's the numbers to help persuade you as an example:

Vehicle loan: $32,000
No advance payments

Normal Financing rate: 3%
3-year loan:Total Interest payments (savings): $1500
4-year loan:Total Interest payments (savings): $2000
5-year loan:Total Interest payments (savings): $2500
6-year loan:Total Interest payments (savings): $3000

Normal Financing rate: 2%
3-year loan:Total Interest payments (savings): $1000
4-year loan:Total Interest payments (savings): $1300
5-year loan:Total Interest payments (savings): $1600
6-year loan:Total Interest payments (savings): $2000

Normal Financing rate: 1%
3-year loan:Total Interest payments (savings): $500
4-year loan:Total Interest payments (savings): $650
5-year loan:Total Interest payments (savings): $820
6-year loan:Total Interest payments (savings): $980

Vehicle loan: $24,000
No advance payments

Normal Financing rate: 3%
3-year loan:Total Interest payments (savings): $1100
4-year loan:Total Interest payments (savings): $1500
5-year loan:Total Interest payments (savings): $1800
6-year loan:Total Interest payments (savings): $2250
