Drove an Ss today. I guess i should have warned my wife was i was going to do. I had it in the manual mode, nailed it in first hit second. That was it for her she hit her head on the headrest so hard it popped her neck, hurt her back. Its going to be a hard sell....LOL.

Tbh... My first test drive was a ride, and my wife was in the back (doah... bad idea), while i sat shotgun. Even though I didn't get behind the wheel, the salesman still punched it a couple times and I heard a couple thuds against the rear window. Lucky for me she wasn't going to stop my childhood dream from living. Hope yours understands as well.

Test drove a 2011 SGM 2SS/RS Thursday with a M6. Had Flowmaster aftermarket exhaust, sounded sweet!! Wife didn't like that it was a 6 spd, because she can't drive it. Told her she didn't drives ours now,then she didn't like that it didn't have a moonroof. Next it was to loud. I kept telling her this is what we need!!! Thought I was bringing it home that afternoon, but then she said why don't you just turbocharge the one we have now? Hmm good point,then the very next statement floored me. She said you will not be satisfied next spring with this one when the ZL-1 comes out so why not wait a year and get the ZL-1? God I love my wife!!!

Ya, I have my list of must have's.. moon roof, 6 speed i guess a 2SS. The salesman has not called me yet. It will be next year before I do anything anyway. My 1LT is just fine for me.

I can see wanting more power v6 to V8, but you got a special edition SG... that would be tough to give up. Not as tough to give up for a ZL1, but it is one of the rare'r 2010s.

Doesn't she still have her Chrysler convertible? Maybe you could keep your Camaro and let her get the ZL-1?
