I'm sure you guys have all seen the video of the guy driving his brand new Hemi Challenger home from the dealer and his friend is video taping from another car. The Challenger cruises up to a stop light and woman in a pickup slams into his brand new car knocking him into the intersection.

It is. I got a hold of him. His insurance company is on it. They are sending an adjuster. But for my own sake, I'm getting a quote as well.

The guy seems genuinely remorseful.

I also got hit in a parking lot, more damage then yours. but no note left as people can just suck and have no morality to guide them to do the right thing and own up to it. Whoever dit this to you did the right thing and I would let them know that.

It's upsetting, but its only a car, nobody got hurt or worse. It can be fixed. Mine was.

My car was hit in a parking lot recently. The driver was going to take off. There were two witnesses, and one of them got in front of him and didn't let him leave. They got his license plate number and driver's license number and luckily they were able to find me, but they didn't get any contact information. I have just over 11k miles on mine, and I don't plan on settling for "fixed" either.

Wow, there are people of integrity still out there. I feel your pain of having your car damaged. I would get to know them, they sound like the salt of the earth.

Mine too got hit in a parking lot the second day I owned it, had 26 miles on it. What a punch in the gut when you find the damage. No note, nothing. I had to go through my insurance and pay the deductible. Took 3 times in the body shop before it was right but they were good about it.

Estimate shows a hair under $2k. Replacing bumper and fender, paint + labor.

Estimate is sent to the guys insurance company. I don't expect to hear back until Monday due to the holiday and whatnot.
