Dose anyone know ....why so cheap ?

I been seeing several people posting that they just picked up there new 2015 ZL1 for around 46000.00 or 47000.00... I picked up my 20014 last year for 56500.00 .. I would think that with the 6th Gen coming out and there not being a ZL1 offered and may not be offered in the coning years that the ZL1 would go up in value .... I think its great that these people got a good deal but it sound like a trend and that concerns me ...Dose anyone know whats going on ?

For a while, GM had a 20% off MSRP sale going on. Perhaps that's how some people got incredible deals on their ZL1?

Now if you read the fine print on the sale, it DID state that the 20% off was only available on the oldest 10% (or so) cars on the dealer's lot. So, if a dealer happened to have a ZL1 that had been on his lot for a long time.......

I wouldn't worry about it....

Once the 6th Gen comes out and few years go by with the ZL1 not being sold anymore peeps will start the realize just how special this car really is.

There is only two times you need to worry about prices...when you buy..and when you sell....anything other than that is just a snap shot of the current economics.

I just posted a thread about prices also. I think right now the ZL1's and the Z/28's are not selling very good because people are waiting to see what the new 16 model camaro is going to look like. Also what models will be available and with what engines and HP will be. I do not think we will see a ZL1 in 16 or until late 17 but I think it will be built and for sale in late 17. As for the Z/28 I think they will have it with a LT4 and a supercharger on it. So,that would make the last 3 years of these ZL1's cost became more expensive to buy,I hope! I have been reading other sites and this seems to be what others are thinking BUT,what do I know, nothing! I guess we will just have to see what washes out from GM.

Wow that was weird....Getting back to the op question GM was having a 20% off sale and that combines with SOME dealers tired of looking at old inventory costing them money every month discounted these incredible cars even more. My 14 window sticker was $61,275 and I paid $46,000. I don't care what the 16's will do or come out with. For 46k I got a car I could have never been able to afford.

I was basically in the same boat. But I opted for a used 13' ZL1 which I got for around 40k....

Otherwise I would not be driving this awesome car today.

I paid full price 59,000 for my 2015 ZL1 in November of 2014. Its so nice to hear how you guys got such great deals with the 20% off stuff. I get a fuzzy feeling every time I read a post's like that on here.

I just picked up a certified used 2014 for $49500 less my trade. They over allowed on my trade about $1500 which was 2500 more than I paid for it 2 months prior. So in my mind, I paid $47,000 for a 2000 mile certified car with all the right options.
I can live with that.

Glad these deals weren't available when I bought my CTS-V coupe. I would've had a VERY hard decision to make. I paid $49,987 for a new, leftover 2012 V coupe about 15 months ago. I though $23k off sticker was pretty good, but 20% off a 2015 is insane.
