High oil pressure 40 at idle?
something is going on with my 6 gen ss with a manual transmission. check engine light and stabilitrack came on. Didn't say reduced power but the check engine light goes away after 1 minutes then comes back on same goes for stabilitrack. There is oil in the engine and it does have oil pressure. no weird slapping or anything like that but car does run rough. Sometimes oil pressure is 40 at idle then goes to 50 when cruising. Could it be bad e85? car limps a bit by the way. What would make to the oil pressure spike up. Any clues or suggestions. I know there isn't much to say but the car does car has headers intake and e85. Could it be bad e85?

Get the code read. If the CEL came on, you most likely have a pending code (or codes).
I would bet misfire based on the limited info. |

Does the 2nd oil pressure display in the cluster read the same as the round gage? Just a good double check. Are you running a catch can? Have you checked PCV? Any oil leaks?
As ctrlz suggested, read the ECM.

sorry for not getting back to those that have replied above. It ended being a fuel issue assuming bad e85. (weeks later that station closed for months what a coincidence...). I also let the car sit for a good while outside in the winter with e and things got clogged up. Replaced spark plus and drain fuel and everything was good to go. Hope this helps. Car is running better than ever to this day!
