Thats weird, why would your right rear be done but your left rear have 25% thread life left?

Hopefully there is nothing wrong with your rear end....

I think the right will spin/slip a little more due to the crown on most roads. Even though it is limited slip I think it allows some difference between the two before it will lock up (think of the difference in revolutions in a tight turn). I've noticed my right rear tire will break loose around 5000 rpm in first if it's cool out. It's a very slow spin/slip, you can tell it's just making a few extra turns. These are just my guesses, maybe somebody else can tell us more.

I am in the same situation. Right rear has worn more than left rear. I have almost 16K on my car. Fronts are close to being replaced as well.

I just left Discount and he quoted me:

Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G2 - my original tire

Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 - These are all season but he said since mine is a daily driver this is what he recommends.

Michelin Super Sports - All Season most expensive, but he says they will outlast the Goodyears.

What are these Hankooks you guys speak of?

From all I have read ,the Mich PSS seams to be the best over all alternative ,but the cost is mighty high .

Well there two kinds of Hankook RS-3 . The old style have a 140 tread wear rating was use as a track day tire . The new ones have a 200 tread wear rating to match SCCA new tire rating for class racing . The new RS-3 now come in the Camaro size P285-20 & P305-20 I am sure these will work good on a track how well they hold up over time we have to wait and see.

I just purchased a set of 305/30/19 for use on my Z/28 wheels. I have been driving spiritedly on them for 5 days. I love them compared to the G2s. They grip when they are cold, the ride feels better than stock (side wall is slightly shorter but wheel/tire is 5lbs lighter so that plays a part) and the road noise is the same or less.

For the money I have no complaints, but need to reserve my final judgement until after I hit a track with them

Matt
