Will your ‘24 order be affected by UAW contract negotiations?
Hopefully not; so far, there’s been no bad news to report. The plant contract(s) run out Sept. 14, and each plant or facility is a separate bargaining unit. Negotiations between GM and the UAW started July 18; you can follow the progress here:

The last 4 years have not treated Camaro well, production wise. At this rate I have a feeling getting a 2023/2024 2SS at a fair deal, will be impossible.

The potential of a UAW strike is why they are building all the CE cars first, highest margins for their dealers who may be shut out of inventory by the holidays. If you look around the country right now, organized labor is emboldened and it's going to get very disruptive if UPS and UAW walk off.

2023's are out there - I have talked to several dealerships offering MSRP - incentives but wanted to wait on a specific color. Mine is currently In Transit but will be MSRP - incentives. You will likely need to be willing to travel or pay for delivery though - but if you do the legwork, there are fair dealerships still out there with inventory.

Interesting. Originally, GM said it was going to end production with the CEs.

I’d rather have riptide blue judging from the photos but man, the lack of allocations scares me. I don’t mind waiting but at least if I order I wanna hope it gets built. |

I thought it was in another thread on here that all CE were targeted for production this week. The ZL1's anyways. You may be right about the non ZL1 collectors, which I'd suspect will be on constraint for majority of the build season anyways. |

A very real concern. With inflation consistently outpacing wages (according to government reports and using the good 'ole pain in the wallet factor), the UAW just might strike.
Across the industry, there currently is a 50 day plus supply of ICE vehicles and a 100 day plus supply of EV vehicles. The manufacturers may be able to get by with that if they think they can ride it out for 3-4 weeks to gain concessions. Of course, Camaro " on the lot" numbers likely lower, but supply for our vehicle of choice is apparently meaningless to the General. |

If there is a strike, the UAW has announced it will be against the Big Three.

I have a 24 ZL1 allocated and order accepted at this time so I’m hoping it gets through before the strike happens. That will end an already very short production year. Camaro can’t seem to catch a break over past few years. I had hell getting my 23 allocated last year.
