I also haven't seen it as any kind of recurring tooic on these forums. Maybe I have and just missed it.
It's not just about being a hot day. It needs to be a hot day AND the car needs to be driven for a while, like 30 minutes or more, then shut off and restarted before it has adequate time to cool down.

For example, it could be 100* out and it will start right up with no problems, as long as it has been sitting for a while before that. But, if I drive for 45 minutes and shut it off at the gas station for example, then try to crank it back up after filling up, it may slow crank or not start at all. At least that's the experience I've had with mine.

This forum has numerous threads about slow cranking on hot starts and almost all of them are LT1s. I read everyone of them hoping someone comes up with a solution.
I run an LT1. Why do some and not others have an issue. I drive mine in 100 deg heat in start and stop traffic. 39k miles. Will I soon have a starter failure? Is there a symptom before failure or does it just stop?

I live in the third ring of hell heat in central Florida and never had an issue. Last weekend it started dragging a bit when hot, and now it's dragging a bit when cold. Please God no...
