Cheaper gas. It will still save some a year running regular alone. Insurance should also contribute.

Fantastic...I'm pretty sure my 2010 V6 was only about 1MPG better in every category.

Tooling around on my drive to work I bet I could beat that combined average. My wife is constantly beating the average in her CUV, and in my 2006 Colorado 4x4, which has a highway rating of 19 or 20, I consistently average 19 in the warmer months. Winter is more like 17 average.

Not that saving mileage is my goal in this car lol.

Not posted yet. The V6 manual was posted about a week ago, and both V8s today.

With the V6 automatic, maybe +1 more mpg ? than the V6 manual?

Is this correct?

Based on what we have seen for the ATS and Camaro V8 numbers, I would expect the remaining figures for the Camaro to be:

V6 Auto: 19 City / 30 Highway
I4 Manual: 20 City / 29 Highway
I4 Auto: 21 City / 32 Highway

The 5th gen V6 automatic also had 19 city/ 30 highway same as the new 6th gen V6 automatic.

For the new 6th gen, I was hoping to picking up +1 more mpg to make it an even 20 city ...............................

Could happen. The ATS A8 V6 is rated at 20 city / 30 highway.

The only real kicker is the 8 speed auto in the SS.
I suspect AFM in the auto may be a bigger factor than the 8 speed itself. The 6 speed manual is geared well for fuel economy. Actually, I think both will shine even more at speeds above where the HFET cycle runs (> 60mph), compared to the Mustang. When the Vette went from A6 to A8, it only gained 1mpg.

This also begs the question: What's the advantage/purpose of the ATS-V's LF4? The 3.6 TT engine makes similar power while getting similar/worse fuel economy: https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/Powe...-V&srchtyp=ymm
Think of all the resources it took to design/build/tune/certify a 2nd engine with such similar performance/efficiency to the LT1.

Because "Twin Turbo". I'm sure some market research somewhere found that a "high tech" twin turbo V6 resonated better than an "archaic" pushrod V8 with the target buyers.

Or, according to what Cadillac has actually said ... its to give the ATS-V a more distinct character from the CTS-V

How does the Camaro 8 speed auto combined = 20 when it's 1 better city and 3 better highway then the Mustang and it gets 19 combined.

That combined should be 21 IMO.

Probably 19 city and 30 highway would be my guess.
