I definitely have thought about, but have to wait for the prices. I'm really curious to see the higher performance models. The base price estimated at $53,000. But who actually buys a true base model? I don't think one dealer will order one like that. I have to believe with the Z51 package plus MRC, premium sound system and upgraded interior you're looking at $62K, but that's a guess on my part.
- The actual weight of the base C7 is estimated around 3,350-lbs; not the speculated 3,000-3,100-lbs as thought. That's even with all of the substantial weight savings incorporated into the base model. -The MRC (same third gen system as the ZL1; just tweaked for the C7) is only available as option on the more expensive Z51 option which has monotube 45mm bilsteins as the base suspension. - I do like the sounds of the electronic limited slip differential which adds another element to PTM. - The interior looks great; especially the competition seats. - It has a 50/50 weight distribution which is fantastic for a front engine car. - The driver mode selector has some cool features. Even though a C7 is light years ahead of a ZL1 in so many ways; the estimated performance isn't. I really like the MRC on the ZL1 which would be hard to give up. Of course a simple test drive could easily change that. |

But.....I love my car so much...I just got it...and frankly, as much as I adore the Corvette (and I DO! I love the new Stingray!!), I've always been a Camaro guy first. I think I'll stay that way for a while. Plus...for all they put into the new Vette, I'll be shocked if they can charge any less than 58k starting price. Already that's too pricey for me...and that's without MagRide...I'm not giving up my MagRide.... No...if I ever trade it in, it'll probably be for another Camaro a few years into the generation...that's a big 'IF'. |

I bought my ZL1 as a place holder while waiting for the C7 Vette. Watched the intro last night and the 2014 Vette doesn't suck. Hopefully they'll sell me the Vette with something other than GoodLuck track tires (I know, I know, they are coming with Michelins).
No trade in here. I'll start listing the ZL1 when I have a confirmed delivery date at Bowling Green. The last new Vette I bought was in 1986 and I took delivery at the plant for that one also. |

No they don't. If they are standard how can they be options?
By definition something that is standard equipment is not optional and something optional is not standard equipment. Standard equipment is what comes on the car without having to choose anything. Options are just that, they are things you have the option of ordering on the car or leaving off. It's your choice.

it really dpends on what you want the car for.....the zl1 is a bit of a beast for the street in that its hard to really use the power..........imo it is designed to lap a track at 100 plus mph where weight and traction arent a problem...........hard acceleration on cold or damp pavement can be tough with the zl1..........a lighter nimbler vette would be more streetable.....dart off the line pretty quick.........with XTREME looks .........if I could trade her I would....

It will likely be 18 to 24 months before you can even seriously look at it. Car won't enter production untill second half of the year, and I expect 6 months to a year of dealers trying to take it to you on them. Corvette is the only car I know of that commands a $10K markup right after intro, and then 12 months later you can get 10K off sticker.
I am kinda curious what they have coming that is more powerful than Stingray. |

The ZL1 has a back seat? Was that an option?

Not arguing just educating.... Don't you want to learn to use proper terminology?
