ZL1 305 Tire Matrix
In my search of tires for our 19 ZL1 I compiled the following spreadsheet comparing all the 305/30/20 tires Tirerack sells for comparison. The ratings are directly from the tests Tirerack conducted and found on their site.
I figured this may help someone looking for replacement tires. Hope this helps pick the best tire for your application I also added some tires for size comparison even though they were not tested. |

Thank you. Interesting how close the PS4S and PSSS are, and how much better the Michelins are across the board in comparison to the factory GY.

Cool chart thanks for putting that together. Note the RE980AS is the only all season tire on the list. Unfortunately they don't make 285s to fit the front.

Pilot Sport 4S's getting a better dry traction rating than the Sport Cup 2's? Oh come on, fanboys

Unfortunately the Continental Sportcontact6 isn't available in the front size. On the Continental hierarchy, it is the higher performance model compared to the Extreme Contact Sport. Although with a 240 UTQG, it won't last as long as the 340 UTQG Extreme Contact Sport. If anyone here is a bit of a tire geek as I am, I recommend stopping at the tire manufacturer trailers/displays at races or even air shows. I had the opportunity to do so last year at EAA Airventure in Oshkosh last summer at both the Continental and Michelin displays, the Goodyear one was set up for aviation only. The typical sales people are out front giving away swag, but there are tire engineers around as well and don't seem to get a lot of real tire questions from people. They kinda jump for the opportunity to talk to someone, maybe it was because I was at an aviation show.... (Most everyone just wants to check out the sales ladies, I don't blame them). It's one thing to research online etc, but its pretty cool to get to talk to the people that R&D them too.

I did however just buy a set of PS4’s for daily use. I was mainly concerned with wet conditions. |

Don't see the Toyo R888R on the list. I don't care much about wet conditions my doesn't see rain. I want dry traction. Going with the R888R for this summer tire 315/30/20 in the rear

You will need spacers and to relocate the drivers side harness for the Tokyo’s from what I’ve read. I have them but haven’t put them on yet since tracks are closed.

I suspect within a year we will see more quality choices for the ZL1 as the C8 has the same size rear tires as our car.
