Looking to get new tires

Time to replace my tires this week. My stock Goodyears are right at 20K and going bald. Calling around, I'm not going to replace the stock ones as they're right at $1400. I can get some all season Pirelli, Goodyear, and Toyo at comparable pricing (between $800 and 900 after incentives). Anybody got any other recommendations or which of these 3 brands would you go with?

My car has 3,100 miles on it. I don't like the idea of not being able to drive it ANYWHERE once the temps in Ohio go below 30 so I bought new tires today. I test drove a used '17 2ss with 12k miles on it where the dealer had just put brand new General G-Max's on. I was really impressed with that car in the way it rode and handled. I almost bought it but they wanted to screw me on the trade-in.

Of course, my car handles better with the Goodyear's, but it was a much harsher ride. Today, I took the Eagle's off and put the above General's on it and I really like them. The ride for a daily driver is awesome and they're really quiet. And they handle really good too considering they're all-season, but still "W" rated at 168 mph.

I still have my Goodyear's that I guess I'm gonna Craigslist. I realize I'm giving up cornering/tracking, but I drive this car to work every day that it's not nasty outside - this upcoming winter included.

Try eBay - you can get some name brand tires around $600 for a set usually. Wouldn't recommend if you are going to track it, but for daily driving you can get a deal.

Look at Continental All season tires for your Camaro! I had Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires put on my 2016 SS a few months before I got rid of it for my ZL1 but they are summer rated tires. I really liked them and they had a high treadwear rating and thinking about getting some for my ZL1 when the GY Supercar tires are worn out.

The best place to start is: #1 - how do you use your car/what do you use it for? #2 - What do you expect from your tires? I believe the stock Goodyear's for an SS are Run Flats, do you want to keep that feature (if so, that will cause the price to be higher)?

I have been running the Toyo Proxes 4 All Season tires and I am very pleased with them. And what Grim said is the first thing you need to look at.

I put Bridgestone Re980 AS on mine. Now I can drive year-round and not worry about the temps.

I have nothing but praise for the BFGoodrich GForce Comp-2 A/S. I've put about 10k miles on my current set and they've been great on my daily driven 1LE.

You get a set of 4 from Tire Rack for $832 right now.

I too run the BFG Comp2 A/S in the colder months, I like them more than enough on my Mustang that I got a set for the Camaro. Really matters in what your needs are going to be.
