Agree, it's getting better...
Maybe clutch is breaking in or i'm getting better to both

me too (stalled on test drive) as the clutch grabbed a lot closer to the floor than what I was used to... plus I wasn't really giving it enough gas (now I know... due to the throttle lag) -- but of course you get used to it and no problem.

I notice some clutch chatter when driving gently and/or the clutch is cold... most of the time it is smooth though.

The clutch is just another "break-in" item that manufacturers deal with when setting break-in periods for consumers to be aware of.

I was just telling one of my friends about this issue a couple days ago. I'm 35 and have driven manuals my whole life. The '16 SS was the most difficult car I'd ever had to take off on a hill until I got the ZL1. I thought the SS was bad, but the ZL1 is so much more difficult. I've never had an issue with any previous vehicles, but these new Camaros seem to stall incredibly easy.

In addition to the gearing, I feel the dual disc clutch and hill assist also contribute to making these cars a bit more difficult to drive.

Its gets easier, unavailablezl1 is right, the grabby nature of clutch eases with time and it becomes better with miles...

Also some time just letting out the clutch gently without even giving gas will work fine if not in a hurry

And sport mode works better than other in ZL1 at least...

Just a quick note, letting the clutch out too slow will wear out the clutch faster. The sooner a clutch is engaged the longer it lasts.

Check out: http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=498180

I started this thread a few days ago. I think there could be an underlying issue that makes the starts in the M6 ZL1 difficult.

Used to happen more during the break in period when miles were low and everything was new. Driving a manual for nearly 40 yrs. and taking off for work in the mornings took a bit to learn how the ZL needs to be driven compared to other cars. Never stalled it, but it does take time to get used to for sure. Hated the hill assist in my 5th gen to where I installed the yaw sensor from the automatic so it would never come on, but it's really nice in this car. I've got about 2700 miles now no issues anymore. vroom vroom

My 5th Gen does this also (slight shutter), especially when the clutch is warmed up.

I've noticed this since day 1 and I've worked the clutch and throttle and I've kind of gotten used to it. I was bored this week and decided to remove fuse 51, exhaust, and for some reason the clutch and throttle feel perfect. I'm not sure what else fuse 51 does but I highly recommend it if for nothing else a better feeling from the Z.

Has anyone else noticed this after removing fuse 51?

It's in your head. Fuse 51 is for npp valves in exhaust. Track mode sound full time.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I did a couple hundred miles after removing the fuse and I haven't made any other changes to the Z but throttle response feels very direct now. It may be some kind of placebo effect or maybe something broke in but it feels great!
