I've been looking at a BackYard Buddy lift, I wish they didn't cost so much but the reviews have been the best. Make sure to do your research first. Safety, Safety!!

By far, BEND PAK. Rotary is good, but look at any car shows on TV; they, like myself trust BEND PAK. Best quality lift on the market. Ps. Let them install it too.

I can vouch for this, my Dad's bodyshops and dealership service centers used Bend Pak lifts for the most part (Occasional others mixed in).

3 friends have the direct lift 8000lb model. Very well built for the money. Haven't had any issues I use it to do work all the time. It's not commercial grade but it's very reliable for home use.

Bendpak is a good hobby lift. I got an xpr-10a set in wide format. I use it at my home shop every couple days. It has its flaws and leaks out of one of the lift cylinders a little, but its fine for my home side shop.

The best are rotary and mohawk lifts no question. Superior parts and build quality.

You see bendpak on tv because the give them out for next to nothing for advertising.
The most important thing is to buy an ALI certified lift and make sure your homeowners insurance is set up to cover any accidents related to lift failure. Better to be safe then sorry.

This is my opinion that i have developed over my 14+ years experience of being an auto tech.
