Very nice. Congrats OP. The v6 in these cars is pretty decent. I should know, I had one.

Congrats. You'll love it. Don't waste any time....get a high quality catch can. Read the threads on them in the forum and you'll see why.

Congratulations! I am in the same boat as you, bought mine last year at 21, opted for the 2LT RS also. Let me tell you, when people see your car, they don't even realize it's a v6 (if they're just gazing at the beauty of it). Believe it or not i had a guy ask if it was 8 or 10 cylinders. I just laughed and said she goes fast and he was just gazing. The v6 is more powerful than "just a v6". My buddy has an older v8 charger and he laughed when I told him it was a 6. He wasn't laughing when we were side by side the whole time while accelerating onto the highway though. Congrats on the new car, and don't let anyone put you down for a v6. Cuz most likely it's more than what they're driving anyways.

Congrats, you were smart buying what you can afford. Too many young adults and even older adults don't. You are already smarter then them. I'm 52 and I got a 13 1LT. The money I saved I did some mods on her and still cheaper then a SS. Need pics of your baby however. Let the mods begin. Oh, yes get a good catch can right away cheap and good insurance with these direct injection engines. My recommendation is either RX or elite catch cans. Search this site and you get a bunch of info and you can decide yourself but do get one as soon as you can.

I'm a little over 600 miles right now after a week and a half of treating it like my only child. Any tips or tricks for the remainder of the break-in period would be awesome.

The V6 in the LT puts out more horsepower than several Camaro SS models from say, 1968, in stock form.

Back then, it was 'gross hp', which was a rating for the engine with no accessories attached. Today it's 'brake hp' which is hp the engine puts out under load. It's easy to see how 'gross' hp is an inflated rating compared to 'brake' hp.

For example, one of the Chevy 396 cubic inch V8 models put out 295 gross hp, while you are making 300 brake hp. Your V6 is a fairly powerful engine, when compared to many classic muscle car's engines.

Modern engines are pretty cool.

remember that 2002 Camaro V-6 had 200 HP and Z-28 had 310 HP, SS had up to 325 HP max., so 5th gen V-6 beat 4th gen. V-8.
