Sorry for the duplicate attachment. This is one of the original order documents I received. I also received a second document that is nearly identical to the attachment uploaded, except it has all of my personal information on the document.

Prices

Well I reached out to a dealer to get a supplier price for a existing stock 2021 zl1 1le and they told me they are not honoring supplier or employee discounts and are actually adding 5k to all Camaros, 10k to vettes and 3k to all other cars due to the inventory shortage.

Has anyone else run into this? Geesh!

try ordering with Joe on the forum. Many have great success with him and communication wise no one is better.

Yeah, go somewhere else....I was able to get supplier pricing in metro Detroit area no problem. Very smooth and easy. To make things easier, you can probably drop ship the vehicle to your local dealership. It will cost your 4 or 500 dollars probably....might beat you having to drive it back to VA from MI...done that drive a bunch, would not be fun in the dead of winter.

I placed an order on 9/16 and was not told of constraints. Perhaps because the entire plant is constrained.

Is anyone aware of average time from order to delivery?

I asked Joe this question a few days ago. His educated guess was 1st quarter for delivery. There is a lot of variables involved though. The plant shut down was extended to Oct 4th at least. I am headed to the dealer this morning to see how they spin it.

On "allocations".......is there a limit on how many Camaros a dealer is able to order in a given period of time.....like a Corvette?

Trying to decide whether to go with the small town dealer or the powerhouse mega dealer.....

Thanks

Yes. Dealers can’t order an unlimited amount of any vehicle and an honest one will tell you when he can assign an order to an allocation. The shut downs have made a mess out of the order process.

placed ZL1 order 9/10 and was told the plant was shut down until Oct 4
order was accepted 9/24 and was also told the plant was opening back up today 10/1

I will post up if anything actually happens with the order this month.

Has anyone out there taken delivery of a 2022 ZL1? I ordered a ZL1 1LE on June 22 with a $1,000 deposit at a large dealership. My order was modified by the dealer to a 2022 model due to production issues so I changed the color to Vivid Orange Metallic (VOM) to ensure I didn't receive a left over 2021 that had been sitting for months waiting on a part or two. I have an assigned order number (6 letters) which is still at status 1100 (Order placed at dealership) as of yesterday. My dealer assured me that my order will be filled with their first allocation of a ZL1 from Chevrolet as I am at the front of their ZL1 line, but they have no idea when the order will be accepted by Chevrolet (status 2000) or when the car will be scheduled for production (status 3300.) They are also not sure how much the car will cost at this time. Manufacturing and selling cars is Chevrolet's business btw. Could be worse though - visited the Corvette museum two weeks ago and the delivery guy there told me the C8's being picked up that day were ordered 2 years ago. My dealer told me a Z06 will not be available to ORDER until August 2022 (with a $5K deposit) and no estimated delivery time line has even been discussed.

If you'd consider a 2021, there are ZL1's out there still for sale. I bought mine a month ago from a dealership in Dallas for MSRP. I got the color, transmission, and all of the options I wanted. I flew out there and drove it home.

Check out the Chevy website and click on "build a 2021 ZL1." Go though the build process and then click on "check inventory." You can stipulate a mileage range that you'd consider doable. There are several dealers within 500 miles of me that have ZL1s, including 1LEs. The 1LEs do typically have a dealer mark-up but that is negotiable. I'm positive you could get a 2021 1LE for MSRP plus $1K, or a regular 2021 ZL1 for MSRP, or less.

Agreed. Just picked up a 2021 ZL1 for MSRP less the $500 Educator rebate. It is the top dollar for your trade-in, assuming you have one, that makes the deal acceptable.

I ordered mine in September and it remains at status 1100. So, in the meantime, I bought my 2012 back
