Walmart tires
While looking for tires stumbled on Walmart crazy deals cheaper than anyone else? Are their tires quality like others or do they get "outlet" quality tires. Big Name products with slightly less quality

What tire are you looking at? A tire from a "name brand tire retailer" is the same at a "non brand tire retailer".

Basically any tire from tire rack vs Walmart. Toyo, Michelin, Goodyear everything is cheaper

I'd be leery of the install quality...one ding/scratch of your 19/20 inch rim will defeat any savings...
Why I skip the corner tire stores too.

Basically, a Michelin is a Michelin regardless of where or who you buy it from. I would not hesitate to buy them at Walmart if the deal is that good. Just make sure the tires have not been sitting for months and have cracks in them etc. And if you prefer, buy the tires there and then have your local shop do the install.

The tires will be fine. Do not have Wal Mart do the install. They bent the paneling on my wife’s Malibu installing one tire lol.

The only ones that I would have reservations about in that case would be the model of the tire that you cant get anywhere else. It may be a Goodyear or Michelin etc, but they sometimes have models that you can only get at Walmart or Costco and so on.

I will say this ! I usually get my tires at discount tire, bridgestone alenza h/l duler 275/55 20 for or Toyota's. $600-800 through the year's, I did the same last year for my wife truck, this year I went to Walmart for a set of wrangler semi off road, there smaller tire on the shelf had a 500 plus treadwear, when they mounted my 20 inch wheels I looked at the sidewall and saw 300 treadwear ! Walmart is slick enough where you won't be getting the best deal you originally thoughts ! Discount tire owns 3/4 of the tire market, please go to them or tire rack next on the list.

I second that on going somewhere else as I have known people that bought tires there and had problems like, one tire not the same size, tire blems or tires out of date etc. Guess it depends what tires you buy there and yes I forgot like was mentioned, wheels being scratched with mounting the tires! If you are going to buy tires for your ZL1 I suggest a tire store or Tire Rack and Discount Tires. I would rather pay a little more to get better quality of service and tires too especially for our expensive ZL1s!

The tires don’t know the kind of store at which they are purchased. Beware the Wally World install though. At my local Wally World the employees and the equipment are low tech and the stories of improper install/wheel damage are endless.

Working in parts for a dealership I run into lots of issues where customers come in with a tire issue and it needs replaced and it ends up being an exclusive Walmart only tire. This goes for a lot of big name brands that make specific model of tires that are only found at Walmart. You will find this though at any big name tire shop where they carry exclusive brands or models of tires. My suggestion is pick a good known brand name and model that can be purchased at more than one retailer.

I wouldn't let a Walmart service tech touch my car.

Don't let a Wal-Mart tech put your car on a lift to change tires . I doubt they know the proper lift points or have the correct pucks .
