For the love of God, please don't paint the wheels.

^ ^ ^. Many guys here don't realize that most people who see any car with
black tires and wheels wonder what's wrong with it. It does nothing to enhance
the looks of the car but it only makes it look like an old car. It always reminds
me of 4 flat tire donuts.
I know, I know....just my opinion.

^^^^^LOL, well I painted my rims black. I bought a few cans of plati dip to see what my car would look like with black rims. Do what YOU want to do. I did mine because I saw other yellow Camaro with black and I thought they looked awesome with black rims. so to see how mine looked I went the plasti dip route. inexpensive and protects the rims as well. I eventually will get black rims but i'm working performance first.

Best advise out there. Use PlastiDip (I personally prefer the Rustoleum version since it sprays a finer mist and coats more even) that way if you don't like it you can remove it. If you do like it just leave it on the stuff is pretty durable and if it ever does get damaged you just peel it off and re-do it.

I would do the catch can in your mid term plan rather than the long term plan.

@ Talladega- you really like the rustoleum version of plasti dip. You are the first that I know of that likes it. I have only read online that it was not as good as plasti dip. but never knew anybody that has used it. what did you use it on and how many coats did you need? How long has it been on? Have you had to respray any parts due to lack of adhering to the material?

Yes I like the Rustoleum better. I have used both mainly because Rustoleum is very limited in colors (red, black, white). I did my truck wheels about 2 1/2 years ago and they still look great and my truck sees much worse driving conditions than any Camaro out there. I did both of my Camaro's (V6 and SS) wheels and never had an issue. I like it because it sprays a finer "mist" vs Plastidip that sprays a heavier "glob" pattern if that makes sense.

Recently had the Eibach Pro-line springs installed when I had the chrome wheels put on. LOVE IT!!!
Camaro owners always notice the wheels and the 1" drop.

I know what you mean by the "glob" pattern. It was a learning process to handle how plasti dip sprayed out of the can. if I have to re shoot my rims, I will go with the Rustoleum next time.
