I noticed that if i remove my gauge pod and console piece then i have plenty of room for a Cd player.will this cause issues with my traction control button being disconnected or the gauges? what will happen....?

Nothing will happen. I drove around for a month with my gauges, lighter, and traction control button disconnected, and I never missed them, other than the ugly unfinished space.
