yeah, it's cool that you can fix it on your own... we all can.

but ANY problem with my Camaro, i bring it to the dealer. i want them to see that i'm having problems with it, and i want documentation of these problems on dealer print-outs.

if you attempt fixes on your own, no matter how simple the fix, you may be accused of causing any future damage.

my power steering fluid was low... and i let the dealer top it off and inspect the pump and lines for leaks.

This is what the trunk lid of my 2002 Grand Prix looked like after just one year on the road, I painted hose washers to match the car and reinstalled the spoiler using the washers as spacers. This allowed water and dirt to flow under the spoiler and a year later when I bought an after market spoiler the lid was pretty much clean of debris.

I agree with you totally, but there are times when I would rather do the job right... Guess what type of washer the dealer would have installed after they painted

By the way, I saw Dweezil on his last tour " Zappa plays Zappa"... He is truly a guitar wizzard !!!

Exactly why I put two rubber washers in place of that foam one

I'm having it done at Chevrolet Ile Perrot. The service manager already opened the case file for me, we'll see how quick he is to call me

Has there been an answer if GM is paying to have the paint done?
Mine is going in on Tues. to be looked at and have the engine oil leak addresed.

Yes Nick they are paying to for the paint, no problemo. Where is your oil leak? Mine has a bit of oil about 3 inches above oil filter on left side, its not the filter. Its very minor but am keeping an eye on it.

This is as good a reason as any for GM to offer a spoiler delete option on all RS and SS option packages.

Will keep you posted. Again word of caution "damage could not be seen until spoiler was removed"

GM better recall all spoilers and check this out thouroughly if my theory is correct.
The first spoiler recall was just to check if my nuts were still on (and one was missing) which I finally got out last week
The recall should have included a thorough check
and now we all should thoroughly check it out!
