Moved from NV to MS. MS doesn't issue a front plate. Painted my NV plate matte black and reinstalled.

Took it out for a quick drive and gas.
Kid in a car (10ish i guess) asked me if those were Bimbo brakes since mine are painted red. Yep, I've always felt having good Bimbo brakes are very important!
His mom pumping gas was looking confused and embarrassed (and hot).

Installed my Morimoto XB fog lights and finally fixed the broken tab on my front bumper so it doesn't stick out anymore.

Can i ask why you didnt just take it off? I mean, i agree that the matte black plate looks kinda badass but personally, id rather just not run one. No hating here, just curious. oh, and your paint looks incredible. I hope to get my Black SS back to that condition one of these days lol

Long story short. I need the front plate there to hold the straps when I load my car in the trailer to go racing.

On a side note, I wash it every couple months with cheap Walmart car soap, use a little quick detail spray and park it in the garage. I can't believe some people spend so much money on cleaning products and the time required to use them.

That is just sick in a good way. Your probably won't do it either. I would never put a Bowtie on it or any other emblem.

In case you are interested I have seen the same emblems as the stock ones in a 2 post configuration for mounting to the heritage or ZL1 grill on AliExpress. I have never seen them anywhere else.

Did aluminum cradle bushings. Not too bad of a job. They come out like the videos show- enough heat will melt the OEM ones and they fall out. Getting the new ones in is a biotch though. They’re a tight fit. Did some sanding and grinding to get them to fit.
