Speakers shut off - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have a 2011 2SS but i used the FARK wiring kit to wire into my stock amp into a separate amplifier. I’ve had this setup for about 2 years maybe, going into a 5 channel alpine that runs front and rear speakers and a sub. It’s been great until about a month ago. I used to be able to play the music around 30 (stock stereo) for however long i was driving for with no issues. Now i turn it up to 20-24 and it’ll maybe play for a minute until it shuts off. I checked my amp and it’s not hot, the light never turns red. But the speakers just shut off. If i shut the car off and turn it back on all the sound comes back.
Anyone have any ideas?
