This is a tough one. I have so many favorite car songs from the 60's I can't choose.

Steppenwolf's Born to be Wild

If you have 3 minutes of your life to waste, check out this song. I think the ending is kind of funny. Please no hate mail if you do listen.

Boy, some good stuff here. Blackened as seen above, or anything with hard driving base like that does it for me for sure. Some of these others are pretty lame. I couldn't push past 45 with some of them.

Of course if you like oldie's, you can't beat Black Sabbath's Children of the Grave.

Google it live 1974 if you're too young to know it. Some of those old live videos are better quality than others though.

Metallica - Mainly the album 'Ride the Lightning', but also any Diamond Head songs they covered on Garage Days Inc.
Motorhead - Damage Case, Stone Dead Forever, Doctor Rock, Rock n Roll, Shine...basically any Motorhead song
Pantera - So much so that I crashed my Trans Am listening to Cowboys From Hell.
Exhorder - Homicide
Ministry - N.W.O., Jesus Built My Hotrod, Bad Blood, Thieves, Just One Fix
Speed Wolf - If you like Motorhead, check them out.

Damn, I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Tom Petty. Specifically Runnin' Down a Dream.

Black Country Communion!!!!! The Outsider!!!! Yeah!!!

It's such a shame that this band disbanded after their third album. They had such an awesome sound and style. The three albums they did make are among my top 5 favorite albums to have in my car. Glenn Hughes, Joe Bonamassa, Jason Bonham, Kevin Sherinian..... Simply amazing music by these 4 guys.

I could post alot more modern rock/blues bands/musicians that I've come across in my quest for new awesome music, but this song by this band is among my favorites.
