Anyone thinking of doing the above PM me about selling your stock Black ZL1 rims as I'm probably going to get another set and will be looking for a set a decent price.

I do not understand doing this. You will really slow down your car. putting 24's with the tires availible in that size would be a good way to turn a Zl1 into 2ss performance real quick. there are just no tires for 24" rims that will do what this car is capable of let alone the added wieght of the wheel for no reason.

You can still find good tires for 22's. you could buy light forged 22's and still find some PS2 tires that would grip.

the first one of these I seen on 50lb 24's I am going to laugh my ass off.

22's are the aboslute logical limit for a car like this with current tire availibility. If you want to stand appart roll forged 22's with 295 PS2's out back. the car will only be a tad slower most likely.

It would be funny to me. constantly getting beat by other cars by racing with wagon wheels. Looks like he wants a show car and not a performance car.

The ZL1 has 580 HP, I highly doubt that 24s will take away 100 HP. I have a Crown Vic PI with 24s on it and it still gets up and goes. I beat an SS Impala with it. Changing gears and tuning to get shift points right make a world of difference.

If you want to ruin the car performance put those hideous wheels on it. I know mine wouldn't see them. If anything I would like smaller liter wheels.

If graphic videos make you squeamish or if you have small children in the room DO NOT play the following video. If you are thinking about 24's hopefully this will serve as what NOT to do to your ZL1..... ... I gotta go get some Pepto

^^^

One of the guys i work with says he can "appreciate" the work and effort that goes into cars like that...

I THINK THAT ITS COMPLETELY SCREWING UP A BEAUTIFUL CAR. For ANY car for that matter. Its not even a look, its a disgrace.

What the Hell! Totally ruined the Camaro... If the didn't spend all their money on those ugly ass rims and tires they might have been able to buy a SS.

Not my cup of tea, but I thought I remember reading or hearing that the wheel openings were designed for a certain wheel/tire package ratio. Going outside that spec' might lose the proportions I guess...

IMHO - the 20s look perfect on the car how it is, however, it's your money It's your car - do what you like.

24's are borderline donk wheels on a Camaro, let alone the highest performing one in the lineup. 20's are also the perfect size to me also, but IMO 22's should be the biggest size wheel for the Camaro for appearance purposes without it starting to look ridiculous.

Do what makes you happy, but don't expect a lot of positive feedback on these forums. It just seems wrong, especially on this car.

This doesn't even take into account the negative effect the heavy 24" wheel/tire combo may have on the mag suspension.

The only way I would allow 24s on a camaro is if your getting a V6, I have never been a fan of big wheels on a car, I think they look ok on trucks though.
