+1, with a bunch of screens that would never see production. Could you just imagine how bright/annoying those would be at night while driving...

The 8cyl versions didn't even invoice for the $20s. The ONLY reason why they sold lower than invoice is two-fold...

1) Gas prices went through the roof and
2) "We have to close Pontiac" as part of the agreement.

Fire-sales ensued. You *could* get the G8GT for high/mid 20s depending on your market. GXP could never be gotten below $35k. Couldn't find one. I know, I constantly scoured nationwide.

But to assert that you should get a current the SS at (todays adjusted) fire-sale prices is absurd. There were those aforementioned 2 conditions/reasons that forced them to "dump them" at really low prices. They were $30+ k cars that got deeply discounted due to current climate. That climate just does not exist today.

http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com...G8/2009/specs/

2009 Pontiac G8GT MSRP started at $31,755, adding packages increased the price. Invoice started at $30,326.

The GXP (which is the only model comparable to the current SS, even though the GXP was on an older platform) MSRP was $35,918 in 2009.

It's gone up $10k in 6 years, again, newer version of the Zeta, better suspension, and interior.

Agreed but since we are going to anyways Ill give my 2 cents.

The Avista blows the Camaro away in styling IMO. This car is down right gorgeous. Not knocking the Camaro, but the Avista is just amazing.

The people that say this car is ugly need serious help. I am all for people with different opinions, but this car is gorgeous. Its not up for debate haha.

For a Hardtop, I would pay that. I think Mercedes is the only one making a two door Hardtop. Most likely Will be the TTV-6,

First off...this is concept. As gorgeous as this car is (and it is) the real deal isn't going to be exactly the same....lets hope I'm wrong. We know the interior won't be, but doesn't matter....its exterior we are talking about here. Door handles, and different wheels, mirrors....all of that will likely change, and it does make a difference in the end.

Also...this car is sport/lux look. Camaro is sport/muscle look. If you want badass, then you want Camaro. If you want the "fast while wearing a tux" look, then its the Buick. Some of the concept sketches I've seen on here of what a ZL1 or a Z/28 COULD look like are downright amazing, and since I lean towards badass over fast in a tux look, I'd take the Camaro, and apply my own tweaks to make it more bad ass.

The ONLY way I'd buy a 3.0LTT and auto would be if it had AWD.

My dream car right now would be a 2017 SS Sedan built on Alpha with a LT1+M6 or a ATS-V with AWD.
The SS is going away in 2017, and I think 2016 is the last year for the SS in the US, so don't hold your breath for a LT1 + manual sedan any time soon. Also why should the ATS V be AWD? It's perfectly fine RWD, handles really good, it's faster than a Camaro SS (track and quarter mile- at least in mag tests), and none of it's competitors are RWD (M4, C63 S).

While that's somewhat true, this would be more like a Camaro, a car you could daily and that is fairly practical with good performance. The ATS V on the other hand is much more practical. 2 different cars for 2 different types of buyers.

Nice looking car but I just don't see a large market for it. GM already has the Camaro and ATS for sport coupes. I know they are trying to move away from the "old man's car" stigma with Buick but why wouldn't a potential buyer just buy an ATSV? Only way I can see someone buying this is if the the price is significantly less than the Cadillac.

Unless the Hardtop carries through to production. No cad or Camaro hardtop.

It's a cool concept. But how many times have we seen cool concepts either not make it to production or make it to production completely differently? The time to compare them will be when it makes it to production (if it does). Until then, very nice looking concept car!
