That sucks, just gotta buck up and move on I guess. It was out of your control.

Last August I watched some guy hit my Harley with his truck. He didn't just bump it, drove right into the side of it. He was sorry enough and had insurance so it could have been way worse.

Guy was probably in his late 60's early 70's and didn't know if the ass worked at the same company as me or not. I wanted to beat the hell out of the guy. He got out of his truck and walked over to my car to look at the damage. Idiot went to the passenger side where there isn't any damage.

That looks like a lot more then a parking lot collision...that's a good impact to cave in the quarter in that area. How fast was he going ?

I had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago, but my car was parked and I was not in it. I hope you get it fixed soon.

I have a similar story. I was leaving class today and when I got to my car I noticed what looked like a marc on the side and sure enough some kid ripped the paint off the back of the car. But wait the story gets better. I call the Wayne State campus police and they come to do a report. The officer very politely informs me that I should be happy that the police even came to write this report because the hit and run occurred on private property and in the state of Michigan the police don't bother looking into it.
At this point I was pissed and ask "so if I hit someone's car on private property its in my best interest to drive off?" she responded "theirs not much we can do even if we get the plate we have to match a plate to the face of the driver through witness testimony or video footage.
Some good news out of this is that my buddy hooked me up with his friend who is fixing the rear and painting my new LS-SS front fascia for cost of tools.

PS after my incident I was leaving the parking garage and 1 floor down I watched a woman talking on her cell phone smash right into the back of a SRT8 Challenger... Not a good day for muscle cars in the motor city I guess.

+1, looks like he was rolling through the stop sign.

By my other job, I see this type of accident about 1 a month.

That will be 100% like factory if you take it to a quality shop. Ask your local dealer who they recommend or refer to. Don't listen to people who say "it will never be the same" that retarded saying is prob something their grandpa told them and they keep repeating.

Find the most expensive shop and let insurance deal with it. New door and new quarter plus blend out!

sucks because it will be listed on Carfax as structural damage because of the rear quarter panel.

Sorry about your luck. I know how frustrating it is, I got rear ended last year by a lady that "didn't see me" I kept my car in winter storage for 5+ months so that I would avoid assholes and a week later when i got the car out and spring came I got hit. Just under $9000 in damage. f*ck was I pissed lol

Im sorry man that sucks, Goodluck with the repair. That guy needs some serious help if he couldn't see that beauty in a parking lot. Just reading that really pissed me off.

Bingo! This will bite you in the a** when ever you trade or sell it. I would be tempted to litigate this issue with the other guys insurance. You could end up losing quite a bit on resale.

Sorry, makes me cry. I had someone open a door on my 1 week old vert as we drove by, 1.5k. Then last summer hit a deer over 12k. I guess Victory Red attracts it, Same way as Infernal Orange

Still no mention on Car Fax, lucky in that respect.

Not any better in the Synergy Green I can tell you that.

3 weeks after buying my 1LT I had a 35ish y/o guy take a corner to sharp while texting and he drove straight into my lane. I had to snowbank the Camaro to avoid the head on collision. Best part was he was driving a Chevy courtesy vehicle so it doesnt look like it was his first incident. He stopped and made sure I was ok. I told him to stop acting like a teenager and put the phone down.

I value my car more than him or the person on the other side of that text.
