Possible 2015 Camaro Design Cues?
So I was browsing around since I've heard the Ford Mustang was due for a complete redesign. I remember Chevy saying they wanted to keep the Camaro similar to it is now except to make the car lighter since it was doing so well in sales. But this picture I came across looks like a complete redesign for the 6th Gen Camaro. Just a concept, but I wanted to see what you think of it. It looks like it kept some of the current lines, like the shoulders of the car, but still looks too sleek and unrealistic at this point.
"There is a debate going on right now, as to whether Chevrolet designers should make the next Camaro coupe, expected to be introduced in 2015, look more like a first-generation model (1967-1969) or the second-generation version built from 1970 to 1981. But what if GM and Chevrolet were to take a different path and create something with very few, if any, retro touches? This is where 22-year-old automotive design graduate from Lawrence Tech in Michigan, Tyler Bame, steps into the picture." http://theblueprintmagazine.com/inde.../tag/Chevrolet |

Don't like it. Don't think GM likes it either. I honestly don't believe GM or Ford would do this to their classic muscle cars. Not any time soon, at least.

Just another artist rendition of what it COULD look like, I am sure that is in no way connected to GM and the new camaro design. Hope not anyway, not a fan!!

I hate the front-end of the car design and the rear seems to be too short. That said all I like is the roof line and the tires.

I am fearful of what the 6th gen will bring, body styling wise. I absolutely love the design of the 5th gen, and think it will be extremely difficult to top this design, maybe even impossible.

I for one could care less, I have the car I have dreamed of sitting in my garage. If the Gen 6 is terrible, all the better for me and my old boring 2010 SSRS.

I don't believe this concept will be considered at all. It doesn't even address one of the bigger styling disadvantages for Gen5, too many blindspots. The lack of forward visibility makes Gen5 a difficult car to race competitively. In fact, this concept drawing makes the problem worse.
