Advice on superchargers
I'm leaning toward the Edelbrock E-Force kit for my A8 '17 SS. I do not track the car or drag race. It is a low mileage, summer only hobby car. Will the stock A8 handle the power if I don't overdo it? (ie, really beat on it). Is there another system that better fits my objective? I've heard very good feedback on the Edelbrook 2650. Thanks.

Magnuson 2300 or 2650.

Thanks. You also have a 1SS with A8. Sounds like a good choice - the Magnuson 2650.

You have great options with the blowers of today for the Lt1/Lt4s.

Great looking car! I went with the Edelbrock 2650 and have been very pleased. I can’t see you going wrong with it or the Magnuson. Best of luck Regardless of your pick the A8 is pretty robust. I don’t think you’ll have any problems especially if your just doing occasional spirited runs.

There really isn't a bad choice with any of the current PD options(Maggie 2300/2650, Eddie 2650, Whipple 2.9).
The Centri kits also perform really well with a stall converter on the A8 cars. Pretty sure the fastest FI stock long block car belongs to a P1sc procharged car @ 9.4 in the 1/4.

See lots of options and opinions. Camaro 6 has them all in one form or another. Can't beat that. So pick your weapon.

I was in the same situation a few months back. I researched many post before I decided on the Edelbrock. I wanted something plug and play and did not want to do a lot of trouble shooting for possible issues. I did not want to modify any stock parts to make it fit. I am very happy with my decision.

Just to muddy the waters further, I went with the Whipple and love it. Already setup with a 112mm opening (no other snout needed) and a 10 rib pulley to prevent belt slip! Plus you can get it coated in the color of your choosing. So, just one more option to confuse the matter some more. Lol

Regularly check the classifieds and you’ll find deals on Whipple, Magnuson and Edelbrock. In fact, there’s at least 1 of each listed as I type.

I have the Magnuson 2300 and it works very well. Little whine, but that's just the way I want it, it's almost like having a 8.5-9 liter NA engine. Sleeper with lots of power on tap when needed.

Did your Rotofab fit the 2300 without any modifications? I'm certain my CAI (brand) one won't. Thank you.
