Which Exhaust??
on the fence with which system to buy. I am looking at the Borla ATAK with the X-pipe or the Stainless Works system. Both systems have the same components.
Borla $3,155.23 SW $1,780.00 Free Shipping. I don't understand the big price swing.

There was a rather large discussion about exhaust prices recently. Therein, you will find David Borla justifying their pricing compared to any other manufacturer.

I'd go SW. Although there are vendors around offering biiger discounts on Borla ot takes 2-4 months to get those part and Borla doesn't have all the bugs worked out with AFM on their x-pipe.

Drone. With Borla you're paying for the guarantee of a whisper quiet interior in Tour/Stealth mode. If you don't care about drone then buying Borla would probably not be worth the money for you.

Zero Drone with my Borla S-Type...
I actually went a slightly different route. I bought ARH 1 7/8 LONG system. Which was about 1300 bucks. Then I bought the Borla S type axle back for about 1200 bucks. All in 2500. It sounds bitchen and I get tons of compliments on it. One thing I have noticed between the SW and the Borla system is the modes actually work on the Borla setup. The SW system does very little changing in volume or tone between modes. My friend has a Full SW system on his ZL1 and its drone heavy compared to my setup. |
