A shop w/ a eddy current loaded at 15% that seemed toread more accurate (60 RWHP and near that in TQ more! same system/year/trans/SC) so that seems to be one answer to get these to read accurate when we get up there so that is an issue getting accurate dyno readings on these.

Either way, the car is making huge power and even if the tq is off quite a bit, it is still a huge gain. I declare this a success for chris, HPS, and the owner (another male Tracy!!! Go figure!). I'm sure this car will kick plenty of V8 butt. Good job Chris!! And for the impatient, it was worth the wait for this owner.
Well said Tracy.

This is good stuff......his numbers are entirely possible......barring the conflicts.
I've seen Porsche 3.6's (and now 3.8s) at 600rwhp on 91 octane.

The camaro V6 is a DOHC 4V motor with characteristics similar to the Porsche.

Just imagine that camaro V6 with forged pistons, high lift cams, turbo"ed" and screaming down the track at 8000 rpms..........neeeeeeeeeooooooow!

Would make a great club racer.

And those V6s are cheap! Almost disposable.......

Can the trans hold that kind of power?

So far the only failure was a A6 that aready was bad (burnt fluid, GM OEM converter was failing). Other than that both manual and auto's are doing well...even w/stall converter. But they will be a weak link.

The clutch on the other hand will fail. Good thing is there are after market units and Chris should post up his solution soon I expect.

I agree with Tracy, my M6 transmission is stock and all Tracy did was change my fluids to full syn. I been beat the crap out of my car and it's holding up great. I am going to change the fluids again soon as I can just tell it's time with the beaten I been giving her. But am also looking at getting Tracy's upgraded clutch soon. maybe after or during my Cam and Head install. Also change the rear diff to full syn.

I'm glad I read the whole thread. I'll wait until the tach reading issue is resolved.

I don't believe its making 87% more torque from a single turbo. I agree its probably making at most 420 rwtq which is 53% more, tops. That will still be a tremendous success!! Even lower than that is still great.

Someone asked a good question. Did you run a baseline dyno? Was there any rpm issues then?

To my knowledge, Chris did not do a baseline dyno.

Yep Tracy has a upgrade clutch. I was going to get it when he was building, but he told me not to just yet because my car only had 5,000 miles.

I had 5,000 miles before and I'm at 16,484 now. Not bad for a almost 2 year old car.
