how much they're worth and someone mocking a Camaro having those wheels are two completely different points.

Wire wheels never belonged on a Camaro. Either rims or dog dish hub caps.

Those things on the Berlinetta are $20 wire caps when they were new, right out of the JC Whitney catalogue.

The cars I mentioned all used true wire wheels that require tightening each wire with a wrench to make the wheel spin true and balanced.

Huge difference.

I don’t understand what your problem with my point is. It’s very clear. It’s not belittling, it’s stating a fact.

Don’t take it so personal.

When I was in high school, my buddy's dad had one - an 82, I think, with T-tops. When his dad would go out of town, we'd go joy riding in it.

This is what I remember. Buddy of mine had one in the early 80's while I just had a lowly RS. Loaded with technology for it's time. We all thought it was as cool as Kitt.

They called it Cease-Fire Injection. lol! Those are the people with lack of knowledge that called it that though. Once you upgraded the fuel pump and turned up the fuel pressure regulator a bit, it ran great. Lots of low to midrange rpm torque and not much high end HP, but everything else was that way back then.

Now granted, I was driving G-Body GM's back then ('80 Cutlass Calais (4.3L), '83 Grand Prix LJ (5.0L), '87 Grand Prix (5.0L)), but damn, the Berlinetta was just fugly...
Be careful, the same thing could be said about the 6th gen especially the 2019's.

The Girlinetta! I have a buddy who had a 78/79 2nd Gen one, he might actually still have it. I had another friend who had an 83/84 in High School, it was a blue 6 cylinder. That thing looked cool as heck, but was slow compared to all the Japanese compacts kids had in the 90s.

Overdone IMO, but a lot of cars are that way today. Make them all look like angry transformers I guess. Makes me miss the good old days with the clean timeless designs they had.
