I got the Flowmaster American Thunder catback exhaust for my 3.8l V6. Much deeper tone and it made the car drive better. Very minimal drone when cruising and you can talk at a normal volume when driving.
Part # is 17358 and the price is $350 on Summit Racing. I did the install myself and it was pretty simple. Only problem I have with the exhaust is it'll hit the passenger side of the frame/undercoating in the rear because the hangers allow it to swing side to side when hitting bumps/turning. Gonna probably get a different style hanger welded on or something in the future. Here's some pictures of the system, don't have a video yet though, although I probably should get one This system is definitely louder than stock though on start up and when mashing the pedal, not too sure what "too much noise" may be for you though

thanks for the info,
Its looking good But i don't know how this works in Amerika, but in the Netherlands (Europe) the Police get you off the road, if your exhaust makes to much noise. And once a year, we must go with the car to a have an examination (i don't know the right word), they check brakes, exhaust (and emmisions), suspension, lights, rust and many more things, and if everything is okay, you can drive another year. So if the car makes to much noise or someting else, you can't drive it anymore, till you fixed it, and show it again. This has to be done, every year since the car is 4 years old. Ahhhh yes the dreaded inspections. We have them here in the U.S, but luckily Florida doesn't have any.
I don't know what to say man, maybe someone in a state with inspections has the same exhaust and can chime in. I don't really know if that system would pass them or not
