Proud new owner of a 2017 2SS with questions
After months of deliberation between 50th special addition, storm trooper (white with black accents top choice for majority of the time) and last minute choice of hyper blue with pearl white rally stripes, gone out and picked up my hyper blue car two days ago, with the low gloss black split wheels the (1,995 option ones), MRC, NPP, and navigation.
I already purchased a illuminated foot-well kit ~not installed as of yet I am planning on buying a front fascia black, no other ground effects since I am no longer doing the storm trooper Mishimoto Catch Can Now for the question section, I typically work 7days a week and live in Texas so consider this a outside car for answer of opinion purposes 1) Black Bowties ~ illuminated or not? I am leaning towards not Illuminated either way I will be ordering me a set 2) Splash Guards ~ Like them or not and body color match or black? Very opinionated question. 3) Xpel~ yes or no? more important front nose area or rocker panels? 4) Reverse Lights (led) ~ With gen6 being out for a year now is there any out there that don’t need a resistor harness or is the ones that Lethalhammer suggested still the best choice? 5) Floor Mats ~ favorite manufacture? 6) Wax/polish/protectant~ choice for harsh Texas summers? |

I'll answer a couple.
6. I like Wolfgang Deepgloss Paint Sealant. I've only had it on for a few months but it seems to be holding up nicely. https://www.amazon.com/Wolfgang-WG-5...+paint+sealant 5. I have two sets of mats because I'm spoiling my Camaro. I have the Lloyd ultimat mats for nice weather. (picture below) and the Weathertech laser fitted mats for the crappy weather, like winter here. You might not need the weathertech mats, but the Lloyd mats are really nice quality.

Guys are saying the splash guards don't live up to their intended purpose 100%. Rocker panels seem to be a much bigger help.

I'll try a couple:
Splash guards are very well designed in my opinion. They look like they wouldnt provide much protection due to their small size, but get the job done. As far as color match My Car is NGM and I got color match and they look great! Not a big fan of just going black unless you dont want them to be seen. They kind of disappear on say a lighter color car( Unless thats what your going for) Illuminated Bowtie...Not a big fan but to each his own. Black Bowtie? Depends on the color of the car. I have them and love the look! |
