I wouldn't have considered a 2012 because no nav or mylink. To me that was a must.

Glad to hear no major problems with the alignment. Sounds like a keeper, then

I bet it was real interesting to drive in the snow!

I'll get it out in the sunlight tomorrow and really see how evident it is.
You should check out a inferno orange Camaro you can see a difference between the rear metal quarter panel and where the plastic bumper cover wraps around to meet the rear quarter panel it really shows in the sun light keep it you wont be happy going back to a ss and if your anal about it the dealership really should be honest with you and make it wright with you I would be curious what happened to the car to begin with I was kinda in the same boat I purchased mine from a dealership in Michigan for 45,000 its a 2012 the only problem it had was road rash on the front bumper cover it bothered me so for $700.00 it was repainted know the car looks like it just came off the show room floor real happy since I got it at a good price!!

There's no way just a bumper cover got replaced.

If it has a new hood, fenders, bumpers, wheels (you said alignment was out). I would have walked away.

If the alignment was off due to the accident, it was a much harder hit than they where telling you. That means it had both suspension and body damage. One hard hit to a wheel can tweak the subframe and it will never feel right again.

know one said this has new hood, fenders, bumpers, wheels...not sure why you think that...

I'll never know the extent of it but have decided to keep it....but not sure where fenders, bumper, wheels came from. If wheels were new I'd imagine tires would be new, which they aren't. All I know as fact is what carfax says...Front impact, no airbags, anything else the dealer told me is just them trying to sell the car.

Allignment was out to me it was important it can be aligned properly. Here is spec chart...

All in all I've had 6 cars in the last 10 years so I don't get to attached to these things. If I have this for 3 years and get out of it without a big hit I'll be fine with it.

I get your point though, it wouldn't have been for you.

For 42k you got an amazing steal of a deal. Pull that car up on any price estimator. That car is going to get dinged and scratched up anyway. 6 months and it'll blend in. If your budget is stretched already and you just want a ZL1 then you HAVE to keep that car. You won't get another in that shape for that price.

On the other hand one wonders why they'd let it go so cheap. 42k and only 3k miles. That is just crazy.

I too am looking at used auto ZL1's for low pricing. Considering that 2012 in Fredericksburg along with a few others.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

Add the carfax and the fact theirs 4-5 chevy dealers in a 20 mile radius they just wanted to move the car.

They also didn't hesitate to take it back even though it's against policy. I imagine they didn't think they would have a tough time selling it (again)

But who knows, maybe it will blow up in a week!

Regardless I still have the chevy warranty
Agreed. Was not my intent to make it seem like a bad or shady deal. Just thinking it all the way through. You got a helluva deal so seems to me it's a very easy decision. Congrats and enjoy that bad boy.

If there is no frame damage, then keep it. Wouldn't worry about the paint.
