Riding with a Stock ZL1 1LE @ Sonoma Raceway

I literally cannot wait until I get my own one of these in two weeks. My buddy Dom let me take it out for a lap (yes I only did just one to be nice). What a machine. Enjoy! Oh yeah...like/subscribe for more later content

Bone stock ZL1 1LE with tires. I only did 1 lap as these were Hoosier's and I didn't want to waste Dom's tires (other laps on timer were from his last set). With more time getting used to the limit of the tires, no traffic, and running in the morning (this was in the 80's), I think I will be much faster. To put it in perspective, the record in the S1 group (this car is in S1 as well) was broken earlier this day at a 1:45.22. I drove with no transponder. Love this track. Love this car.

Thanks yours too! I was happy to see you get the record and on those old hand-me-downs!!! I am starting to get frustrated that I can't be out there with you guys. We are getting close. Keep me updated with your car, I hope it get's fixed ASAP. Next year is going to be sweet with 5-7 of us out there all the time.

Are they 315 / 345, 315 / 325, or 315 / 315 combo?

What data recorder were you using in the car? I am hoping to get my car out there soon as well.

A7, 315/325. The R7's probably would have been better for that session because of how hot it was outside, but one lap was ok.

I'm using the AIM Solo 2 DL with a Smartycam. I really like the data it gives. Pretty time-intensive setup to get it all right, but worth it when it's done. I'm making a video on it soon

Excellent! and you guys had the mic on the rear bumper correct? The cars actually sound quite good stock. Which is deceiving when in the car and helmet on....I think mine is waaaaay too quiet. But when you hear one with the mic placed where I think you have it it is impressive. Nice work out there!
