Cheaper than when you get rearended and you're at fault because they couldn't see your brake lights.
Plus, blacked out taillights look dumb.

I never understood the black out tailights craze. a modification that is going to cause you safety concerns ?! reflectors are installed for a reason. When you have electrical problems and stranded on the side of the road those reflector tail lights can save your car and your life, daytime or nighttime . In bright sunshine when the sun is in someone's eyes, you may not be visible for a second or two but the reflection of your tailight reflector may catch their attention . Just a thought . Yeah I know, they look good on some cars but isn't it more important to be safe ?

I know it's not all situations, but the last couple of times I was rearended, I could have been standing beside my car, with a bullhorn and waving red flags and they would not have even touched their brakes. But I do understand what you are saying here. There will be times and certain weather conditions were blacked out taillights are not the best option.

Almost hit a car smack in the side about 70mph 2 days ago.
They made a uturn, no lights on, 1 lane road, almost midnight. What save me/them: the tail reflector light. Never saw car until am about 25 ft from them. Only 5 seconds earlier I put on my seat belts. |

the more I read about California the more I feel for the people who live there...I have never been, but I just can't imagine living in a place that's so contradicting...lets legalize weed, but you cant put long tubes or blacked out tail lights on your car...I know weed brings the money in, but seriously think about it..California is ridiculous
