New wheels!

Finally had time to get the new goodies installed this weekend.
MRR M228 wheels with custom white finish, IOM calipers powder coated by TPH coatings.

White looks so cool... but I've been there before and the brake dust was a killer to keep up with.

You ain't kiddin'! But I knew that going in so I expected it. I applied a ceramic coating so at least it doesn't stick too badly. I'm going to have to start keeping spray detailer and microfiber towels in the trunk now!

I was just reading up on ceramic coating... How did it work with the brake dust issue? I guess I'm ok with it sticking a little so that a simple hose wash will remove everything... or are you still needing a brush to clean them up?

I haven't really given it a good test yet. I've only driven a few miles and gotten very minimal dust buildup, and then I used a microfiber towel and detailing spray to do a quick cleanup. It did wipe away very easily though. I'm curious myself about how well a heavy buildup will flush away with a hose. I'm thinking a residue will remain unless you actually make physical contact with the surface using a cloth or something similar. I know it's not a magic solution to brake dust, but I'm hoping it helps.
By design, the M228 wheel is very easy to clean, so at least there's that! lol

Looks great! Are you going to go as far as cleaning the barrel too?

I saw a demo of Adams products and he polished the barrel with some type of smaller buffer and got it looking new before he finished his demo. I thought it looked really nice however, mine we terrible looking when I got them (used) so I'm not sure what my barrel looks like on my stock ZL1 rims.
