I am just thinking, once they stop taking orders there is no real reason not to reveal the 2016 other than giving dealers time to clear the lots... Maybe they are waiting to get total orders on 2015's before a decision will be made of when to reveal the 2016...

Well, if you have the funds, I'd wait for that 50th Anniversary model. No doubt, it'll pack more into it than their "regular base" models. Though, technically, it won't be an ACTUAL 50th Anniversary. Remember, Camaro was discontinued. So WILL they come out with one? Who knows? But I'd imagine being the Camaro name associated with Chevrolet will have some sort of significance being 50 yrs old and should fall into a car thats not just a couple stickers slapped on a Camaro if you catch my drift. Uh hmmm 45th Anni....

I can't think of any examples of an anniversary edition that was more than just badging, one-off paint codes, or special leather inside. Nothing I'd be willing to pay above MSRP for, or more than a "regular" inventory SS. Hope you're right, though. I'm likely down for a 2017 either way.

I think Capricio was referring to the fact GM hasn't done that with any anniversary cars. I expect GM will keep with tradition in this case.

When a hot car launches you will see 10 or 15 day supply. That is about what the Gen 5 was when it launched. 131 days is pretty big. But it is also winter............................and a new Mustang.

That's useful important news. So we're saying if they do nothing they'll be out 2015's by July. Orders do take 6-8 weeks, so they'll want people ordering 2016's by May/June. My money is a March reveal.

It is very unlikely that GM will "go dark" on the Camaro. But it is equally unlikely that GM will launch the Gen 6 with a 4 month of current rate sales of the old car. That 4 months will instantly be a year when the new car comes out. Or GM can discount the old car so much that they do sell and the new car will launch horribly. Like I said, it's not likely. If anything GM could be putting enough volume on the lots at current sales rates to get them to the launch. Again, trust there is a plan being worked by a lot of people that have been to this rodeo many more times than anyone on this site.......except Fbodfather. He comes to this site and he has permanent front row box seats to this rodeo.

Ideally then the C6 should go on sale in July after all of the C5's are sold. Maybe GM is on schedule to reveal in New York and start producing cars for sale in August. Without any official word from GM it is anyone's guess.
