When the 2010's first came out, I really wanted one but just could not do it at the time. Then one of my cousins got a 2010 and modded it with the usual CAI,Exhaust and tune..
Then I REALLY wanted one. I'm glad I waited until 2014 because I like the more aggressive front and a welcome change to the rear. I feel like 4 years with almost no appearance change was a little long. I like the fact that the 2014/2015 will be a 2 year only style. Looking forward to seeing the Gen 6 in person. My first reaction was I didn't really like it, but it has grown on me . a lot!

I'd rock the shit out of a front end swap. The front end looks more aggressive...

I really liked the 05 Mustang when it was unveiled. Really, really liked the '10 Camaro when it came out too. I like the retro look, but since then both the Camaro and Mustang have gone sort of retro-futuristic which is still cool, but I kind of prefer the earlier models in both cases. I'm happy with my '11.

I used to think the '14 refresh was ugly.
Then I saw the Gen6.

I always liked camaros since the concept was unveiled. I just couldn't pull the trigger because the the overall profile of the car was designed to look like the 69 ( which was my favorite and what i wanted when I was in high school) but they seemed to make the front grill too large and I was never a fan of the 69 camaro bug eyes. I always preferred the RS hidden headlights or custom billet grills over the whole front I really did like the LED halo head lights though and would imagine driving around with them on all day and all night, looking sinister. On top of that the tail lights didn't look even similar to a 69 at all. The front and the rear just didn't seem to fit the retro looking 69 body style.

Then the refresh came and their they were. My 69 inspired front with the smaller grill and taillights that resembled the 69 camaro shape with a hat tip to the 80's camaro. The halos were still there but looked even better with two half circles AND they ran all day and all night. To polish it all off the the hood vent was added to extract some heat and distinguish between all the variants. The refresh was a slam dunk and the reason I bought it.

By the way, as for the bigger license plate recess, I'm surprised nobody responded to the numerous comments: "I don't understand why they made the license plate recess so big"

It's to accommodate for European (Germany) license plates:

And technically the total width of the recess is the same on both cars, the 2010-2013 just has the bevel on the left and right instead of a corner cut recess:

It was a pain trying to get a good mounting solution for the front and the rear because of the width of the plate.

RS/SS front end with blacked out chrome strip looks slightly better to me than 2010-2013 cars. The 2014 rear diffuser and general rear view looks way worse to me so my personal opinion when evaluating the two styles as a whole is 2010-2013>2014-2015.

Saw the 2010's hitting lots in the summer of 2009 and I instantly knew I had to have one. Life and other situations kept me from one until 2013. I was going to get a 2014 until I saw the unveil of the 2014 refresh and it pissed me off. The whole time I had plans to do more retro themed mods to the 2010-2013. So I instantly ran to a dealer to get my 2013 order in before it was closed.

Don't care for the 2014-2015 and the 2016 does nothing for me. I prefer heritage and classics and the 2010-2013 struck that chord in me.

Love the 10-13's, I wouldn't sell my car or trade for the refresh. I do like the newer front ends but the rear end still is a deal breaker for me, if I were to even consider a 14-15 ZL1. But with the 6th gen regressing even further IMO, if I ever do move up i'll try to find a low mileage 15 ZL1, or just get a C7.

Originally I was not in favor of the refresh either but, ZL1 and the Z28 made me stop and revaluate. The taillights take a styling cue from the '69 Camaro and add a modern design appearance and also makes the car look wider and lower from the rear. The front fascia is more aggressive which I do like. Needless to say the refresh grew on me and I ended up upgrading.
BTW, I sold my 2013 1LE for the upgrade!

it was the 2010 that had me looking at the new cars to have serious fun with early muscle was the one and only prior , well after 5 years of hard work I could finally justify/afford one and I wanted new period. I love this car!
The difference between any of the gen 5 cars (v8) is not worth the trade up in my opinion + the C5 group support plus the fun of the ability to pick your parts install and bam! new car!for to your personal driving experience =you can't beat it value!

The Gen 6s don't have that yet, boring in my opinion... so yes the gen 5 2010 tail lights were part of my initial attraction to modern Camaros but the front stance on a lowered 14/15 and the whole package said wow no more wishing for a modern mean ride it was here!
ps
I will defend this 15 to the end but I'm a lover of most of our stabled beasts
