I originally asked that question to the dealer and even they did not know. We looked for it together. LOL

My salesman went over all that with me when I got the car. In fact he spent over an hour going over all the features of the new camaro with me before I left the dealer with the car.

Suprised your dealer did not do the same.

I knew more about the car than my sales person did. He just said "oh we'll makes my job easier".

high underhood temps associated with point 1. can lead to earlier than desired battery performance and life. Battery no like heat.

On the flip side, it doesn't really help with the "no spare tire" situation, and leaves less room for the dead hookers if you know what I mean.

On a serious note, I learned long ago that it's wise to locate/practice/play with all those things that could potentially confound and/or surprise you on the side of a dark, rainy highway. Know how your spare inflator works, where the battery is, how to hook it up from under the hood, know where the fuse box is, carry a flashlight, etc. Takes an hour or two on an idle sunday afternoon to go through it all.

Now it is dark out to so I am trying to see wher to hook the cables up too etc.. about to start pulling plugs\connectors off this box as I am a man and do not need instructions on how to jump start a car! Christ, I have been doing this since gen 1.
After a few minutes of scratching my head acting like I knew what i was doing, I had to break the man code and look in the manual to see that there are separate connections located on the drivers side for this.
Since when are there no batteries in the hood? I guess it's been a while since I've owned a car!

In the 20s and 30s they were under the back seat.

Sales guy at the first dealership I went to was telling me all about the "Rowdy Sporty" (RS) edition they had. I promptly laughed in his face and bought my car elsewhere.

You people "jump" using the battery in the trunk?

There's a terminal in the engine compartment, thats all you need. Dont need to take out the trunk cover/spare/fixaflat.
