camaro v6 2017 vs wrx 2017(no sti)

I am trying to decide between a new Camaro v6 2017 and a WRX(no sti) 2017. I live in the Seattle area and I want to know opinions and if you know any good Chevy dealership around. Also I know we get some snow but i am not concerned about snow. I will be fine with all seasons.

Thanks for the help.

The Camaro is way more car for the money than a regular wrx as far as I'm concerned. I have a built sti hatch and I still like my 2.0t Camaro a bit more. The upsides of the wrx are space, visibility, and practicality. The Camaro has it beat pretty much everywhere else though. If you get a turbo 2.0 Camaro instead of the v6 it will have more of a wrx attitude with the way the engine makes power and it will be more mod friendly like the wrx is. Best of both worlds.

This is very similar to the decision I had to make...so I'll chime in.

It was between 2016 camaro 2.0T or a 2016 WRX base.

I went with Camaro RS 2.0T with the infotainment package and sunroof.

If I wasn't a Chevy guy and had absolutely zero love for Camaro's and corvettes etc....the WRX would have made a fine and fun daily driver for me. It is more practical and makes for a slightly better year round driver.

You can't go wrong with either really. I've got a secret love for the wrx but a not so secret love affair with my camaro.

If I had to do it all over again...

I'd get a Camaro 1LE V6.

Both are awesome cars. Seriously.

If you can get a 2LT 2.0 Turbo camaro. Perhaps go that route.

Another big thing part of my decision was how bland and conservative the WRX exterior is. And the technology and info stuff inside seemed too outdated compared to the Camaro. Especially vs the camaro infotainment package.

The aftermarket is and will be there to support both platforms.

You will also find that (as stated by the second poster) you'll get a lot more camaro for your money. And if you're financing you'll absolutely without a doubt get more car per your monthly payment in the camaro. GM has financing terms for 72/84 months. Where as Subaru has only up to 60 months.

Thank you. I am trying to stay away of the turbos idk why they do not seem to be appealing to me i rather have the naturally aspirated v6. Now I do like how the camaro looks better compared to the wrx. If I get a camaro it would be the v6. I would test drive the 2.0 turbo i haven't yet.

I'd go with the WRX if I were shopping it against a 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder Camaro. It's spacious, safe, great year round, gets decent fuel economy, and will most likely have great resale value.. Adding the v8 into the mix would change that for me.

I want a v8 but they start at 33k with incentives, a bit out of my league. the wrx base is 27k and the camaro v6 24k. those are with incentives without tax.

You could get a V6 with more options then. Much more options if you choose to reach the 30k mark in the camaro.

A base wrx here in my province is just shy of 35k canadian.

If you want more performance you could opt for a 1LE V6 for $4500 option, that will give you the V8 brakes, suspension, rims and tires, dual mode exhaust and some other various odds and ends along with some more unique styling. as long as you want a manual.

If you get the V6, try to find one with performance exhaust. The sound it makes is incredible.

WRX , awd , more room, resdual value, responds well to bolt-ons and a tune .
My opinion is very one sided though, I really dis like the v6 camaro's . Would rather have a ss 5th or even a V8 4th gen over a v6 .
