New Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate for V6 RS
I got the new Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate all season tires for my V6 RS, in stock size of 245/40ZR20. The stock F1 all-season runflats were horrible in the wet and nearly undriveable in any kind of frozen precip. I'm not looking for dedicated winter tire performance, but do expect to at least be able to move the car from a stop in a dusting of snow, which the stock tires could barely do. The new tires have great reviews and seems to be as good or slightly better than the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ which was my second choice. I just got them mounted but so far they are noticeably quieter and a little softer riding than the stock runflats. A few quick turns and they seem to be as responsive. I'll update this thread with some winter performance after we get some snow.

I'll have to check these out when my stock one are done. How many miles did you get from the stock all seasons?

I only had about 7500 miles on the stock F1 runflat all-seasons. They had plenty of tread left, but I wanted something better and safer going into this winter. I put a can of fixaflat in the trunk for emergency use, since I no longer have runflats. I figure between that, TPMS, and Onstar I can get a flat taken care of.

Gotcha. I think I would've done something like this hadn't I got some 18's with Blizzaks thrown in on the deal from the dealership. Basically I got a $1600 setup for about $300. It raised my monthly payment by a whopping 4 bucks lol. At the moment I'm still on my stock all season runflats here in Michigan. Just had a big snow storm last week....it's time to get these suckers off lol

I pulled the stock Eagle F1's summers off my SS at 380 miles.
I wanted to try the Exhilarate's but Goodyear doesn't make them in the right size for an SS. Maybe they will by the time I need to replace my BFG Comp 2's. |

Just got my set of Exhilarates last week after putting 21k on my stock RunFlats.
So far I like them a lot. Much smoother and quieter ride. |

Long story short, how did you like the Exhilarates? I am not happy with the stock all season runflats either, thinking about swapping to a summer compound in the spring. I have about 10k on my stock tires.

Fellas, this thread is 2 years old. That said, my brother bought these for his Miata, and he likes them well enough, took a drive to Arizona a few months ago.
The Exhilarates are an all-season tire.

I saw good reviews about them. But still, Michelins are a lot better.

I am leaning more towards summers as my coworkers all seem to run summer tires.

Oh man, in Florida, yeah summers all year round. Continental ECS or Michelin PS4S or bust.
