If Ford announced the Mustang can do zero - 60 in under 4, then I'm sure they know what it can do in the 1/4. They didn't announce it because the results will disappoint. I say no chance in hell it can best a 12.3. 12.5-12.6 is my guess.

A 12.5 would be a huge win for Mustang fans. The 13.0 that they are running right now is embarrassing

Ford typically doesn't announce any performance numbers, hell to be honest I am surprised they said the sub 4.0 to 60

They had videos of the 2011 GT racing the Camaro.

Ford even setup a drag strip for people to come race the 11 gt vs the Camaro.

They made it very very clear when they had the performance advantage. If it was decidedly faster than the SS like the 11 gt was over the L99 5g they would say it

^Yup...I think its going to loose sales since it now will cost as much or more then a 6g.

Tune only auto GT has gone bottom 12s at 390ishwhp. How a new GT with a better/faster shifting auto will go 1/2 second slower with same or more whp and better powerband is beyond me.

A tune only dropping a second off a 1/4 mile? Find that hard to believe considering my time on the S550 dropped 2 tenths...

S550s go deep into the 12s. Its not a 13 sec car. but it is equipped with crappy tires. People have gone as fast as 12.4 with 3.55 geared autos, stock.

It IS a 13 second car lol. I don't care what some hero run was supposedly able to get on a cold night in December with -2000 DA.

It doesn't upset me. But I also don't spew sub 12s hero runs for Camaros and Scat Packs as if they were the norm.

I get it. You like your car. That's fine I'm happy for you. But right now the S550 is the slowest of the herd. That is an undeniable fact that has been proven time and time and time again.

Hero run? Almost everyone in the bone stock fast list in the the 12s. Fastest time being 12.34 with a DA of -800. The fastest auto 6G SS is 11.9 at -1000 DA. It isnt the mustangs fault that you couldnt drive. I went 13.0 at 2500DA with a 2.2 60ft in stock 255 all seasons. Only able to make one run that night.

SS has gone 11s in positive da too. It's not even a hero time 4 people have done it

There are the same stock SS at 11.9 than s550 at 12.5 or below. And your owner base is twice as large and been out a year longer. It's not even close stock to stock.

And since when is 12.3 bottom 12s? And only one guy has done it lol give me a break

Another tidbit to chew on. 30th place slowest stock a8 on the fast list is 12.3. Equal to your fastest s550

WTH is bottom 12? It's not a multi-story building, it's an elapsed time. Numbers are high or low, not top and bottom.
