which is the Best supercharger for the money

starting to plan out my next upgrade on my 2010 L-99.Was going to do a cam and heads.But it seems like for almost the same money i could add a kenny bell or magna supercharger and also get more hp from the supercharger than the cam and heads.just dont know which one to go with.current mods include.Jre tune,Vmax throttle body,K&N intake,and kooks 1 7/8 headers.Car only has 5000 miles.

It depends on your ultimate goals for the vehicle. If you want something for all out horsepower a Procharger is hard to beat (they are also great on the street since they don't kill your drivetrain as much during daily driving). They make great boost and are easy to install and upgrade. If you want a killer street car that's tons of fun anywhere you go, a roots or twin screw fit the bill. But the best bank for your buck right now is probably the SLP TVS2300 system. They are priced fair and use the same Eaton 2300 technology as the ZR1 and the Magnacharger systems. They also have a slick look and a new tuner kit available!

I would cross out Kenne Bell off your list. They're great for other cars, but out of the box, not so great for the Camaro. If you want a roots or twin-screw style S/C, Maggie's, Whipple's, and E-Force are the best for a PD. If you want a centrifugal style blower, ECS, or Pro-Charger are the top two. I'm biased towards the ECS. If you're looking long term and expandability, ECS and Procharger is the way to go. Right now, my blower that came with the base kit is being upgraded to a YSi. The PD blowers are expandable too, just not to the extent of a centrifugal style.

ECS and I believe procharger come with a dedicated 10 rib setup, nice tensioner, and bracket that will support a big blower. The maggies/whipples/etc you get stuck in wanting more, then upgrading the HE, tensioner, pulleys, etc and land up spending more and more money while other options just pulley down and enjoy. Only difference between a 600rwhp and 850rwhp ECS kit setup is the pulley or restrictor. The same can't be said with a Maggie/whipple/etc. Just something to think about for upgrading later. Either one makes enough torque to fry the tires. My centri car makes 500+ft/lbs at 2500rpm and can roast the tires at ease anywhere under 80mph if I want. More low end doesn't help.

Not a supercharger but check out turbo options too. You get best of both worlds, a wicked power band, and great upgradeability, typically for less money.

Same with every other option. Twin turbo, vortech, Maggie, whipple, ECS, Procharger, etc. They all drive great and don't mess with highway mileage.

Everyone mentioned is belt driven. PD blower are far from what should be classified as bang for your buck.

IMO any supercharger will effect fuel economy. My Camaro doesn't get the fuel economy my GXP got. The GXP had an LS3/TR6060 with 3.70 gear with LTs and intake. My SS is 100lbs lighter and with a taller gear and gets 2mpg less with the exact same drive route. Tune on both vehicles were done by the same well known LS tuner. It still gets better economy than my old quad cab truck so I dont bitch about it since its 580+ at the wheels lol.
